A unique looking plant, the pads of this cactus can resemble bunny ears and its hair-like spines (glochids) look like fur, hence the name. This Cactus is native to Northern Mexico and Arizona’s desert regions. A very hardy plant that is low maintenance.
Light conditions: position in bright light. Reduce to bright indirect light during the winter months.
Neediness: Easy to care for but remember that your cactus needs dusting to unblock its pores, helping it to breathe. Try a make-up brush or an artist’s brush to remove cobwebs and dust
Watering: contrary to what new cactus keepers think, cactus require regular watering, at least during the summer. Only water again when the soil has dried out. Over the cooler months they may need only light watering every 3 to 4 weeks.
Ideal location: bedrooms, living rooms and studies
Rate of growth: slow growing, can reach up to 2ft when fully grown.
Temperature: keep at a normal room temperature
Pets: this plant is non-toxic to cats and dogs.
